A beautiful Wedding day…

Congratulations Laura and Leon!
They tied the knot last Saturday, May 24th.
It was a beautiful, but humid day for
this sweet couple’s wedding.
The full day began at Salon K,
a cute shop near 14th and Pine Lake.

Getting ready: Laura in full “princess prep” mode.
Leon, freshly trimmed and shaven,
Check that profile! :)

From the Cornhusker Marriott staircase

To the Capitol a few blocks away…

To the sharply-dressed Wedding party.

The lovely ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church
was followed by a reception to remember
back at the Cornhusker! So happy for you two! :)

Great carpet cleaning!

I just had my carpet cleaned by
A-Cross Time Cleaning Services.
In about an hour, Wayne had my carpet looking so beautiful!
Our kids had a great time chatting with him,
he’s so polite and personable.
You’ll love what they do!

Check out their website for all their services.
They also do on-site drapery cleaning,

Also, ultra-sonic blind cleaning.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving

We have aligned ourselves with MADD
(Nebraska) as our new charity.
Their mission: to stop drunk driving,
support the vicitms of this violent crime
and prevent underage drinking.

I have a personal connection to this organization
which I will describe further, so stay tuned!

Simera Reynolds, M. Ed.
State Executive Director

(Click on the image for a link to their website!)

Since it’s founding, MADD has helped pass

more than 2,300 anti-drunk driving and underage
laws across the country. MADD was instrumental
in the passage of the national 21 minimum drinking
age law in 1984, as well as the zero tolerance provision
of the National Highway Systems Law passed in 1995.
MADD continues to work to lower the legal drunk
driving limit to .08 percent BAC in the states
who have
not yet adopted the legislation.
They are doing so much good in our community,
a great organization to get involved with!
